Not sure whether phrases like 'last night' are mentioned with date and time or time only

Utterances (from the Guideline): 1. who won the leafs game last night 2. what was the cowboys score last night Annotations (from the Guideline): 1. who [won]<outcome> the [leafs]<team> game [last]<date> [night]<time> 2. what was the [cowboys]<team> [score]<stat> [last night]<time> Question: We run into quite a lot of utterances containing phrases like 'last night', but we found these two examples from the Guideline that seems in conflict with each other. We believe it makes more sense to annotate these sort of phrases with <date> and <time>. Kindly provide your thought on this. :D
